Family safety and private location sharing
Stay connected to family and friends on your own terms. Lookout is being built with trusted contacts, private location sharing and check-ins, starting in South Africa.

Your circle doesn’t decide your permissions
Joining a family or adding a trusted contact does not automatically share your location. You decide which people can see it. The public incident map is separate from your shared live location.
Review access and change your mind
Sharing controls let you review who has access and revoke it when you no longer want to share. Location updates depend on device permissions, connectivity and battery; a map is not a promise of continuous monitoring.
A quick check-in or a timer
An “I’m okay” can help keep people in the loop. A check-in timer lets you choose a time and trusted contacts who can be notified if you miss it. A timer does not automatically activate SOS or call emergency services.
What’s still planned
Shared journeys, safety-check requests and missed-arrival tools are on the roadmap. They are not available to the public today. Lookout is in development, and the waitlist is for launch updates.
