lookout.

A little support.
Clear expectations.

Lookout is being built to help you stay informed and connected to people you trust. Here’s how its safety tools can support you, and what they can’t promise.

Private SOS

SOS creates a private alert for selected trusted contacts who are eligible to receive it. It does not contact emergency services or post to the public map. Creating an alert does not mean it has reached someone or that they will respond. If you need urgent help, call local emergency services directly; don’t wait for an app response.

Safety timers

Choose a time to check in and trusted contacts who can be notified if you miss it. Alerts depend on network access, device permissions and whether contacts are available. A timer does not automatically activate SOS or call emergency services.

Location sharing

You choose who can see your shared location and can revoke access in the app. Updates may stop if your phone is offline, can’t get a location or runs out of battery. A map does not guarantee continuous updates or monitoring.

Community information

Reports and discussions are moderated before publication, but that does not verify every detail. Treat them as context for your decisions, not a complete picture. Information may be incomplete, delayed or change as an event develops.

What’s next

Connected Safety Sessions, scheduled journeys, deviation detection, location-loss detection, low-battery warnings and an emergency evidence vault are planned. They are not presented as available in the current iPhone screenshots.
